Receipt Printer Troubleshooting
1. Basic Checks:
Power and Connections: Verify the power cable is securely plugged into both the printer and the power outlet, and that the power light is on. Also check the connections of the power adapter between the printer and power outlet. Make sure all connections are snug.
Paper: Confirm that paper is loaded correctly and that there are no paper jams.
Cable Connections: Ensure that all data/LAN/USB cables are properly connected.
2. Self-Test:
- Print a self-test page. This will help determine if the printer itself is functioning properly.
- To print a self-test page, while the printer is turned OFF, press and hold the FEED button while turning the printer on. Keep pressing the FEED button for at least 5 seconds.
- If the self-test prints, the issue is likely with the flex client or station settings. Please open a Corrigo Ticket, or if it's your Cut Table printer, call the emergency HELP line.
- If the self-test doesn't print, there may be a hardware problem. Please open a Corrigo Ticket, or if it's your Cut Table printer, call the emergency HELP line.
3. Additional Troubleshooting:
-
Paper Jam:
If a paper jam occurs, carefully remove the jammed paper without forcing it.
-
Overheating:
If the printer overheats, it will stop printing and resume automatically when it cools down.
-
Error Lights:If an error light is flashing, please open a Corrigo Ticket, or if it's your Cut Table printer, call the emergency HELP line.
