❄️What to Do When the Office Pulse Computer Freezes

❄️ What to Do When the Office Pulse Computer Freezes

🧭 Quick Navigation

🔎Identify the Issue

Determine whether Pulse is still working on the Front Counters, Dispatch, and Makeline stations.

  • If Pulse is working normally on those stations, continue with the fix below.
  • If Pulse is not running on any of those stations, the DM should escalate to IT immediately.

⚙️Fix the Frozen Office Pulse Session

1. On the Office PC (Host 1), move your mouse to the very top middle of the screen until a blue bar (ribbon) appears.

2. On the right side of that blue ribbon, you’ll see three small buttons — click the left button (the underscore “_”) to minimize the screen.

  • ⚠️ Do not click the “X” — that will close the connection instead of minimizing it.

3. The screen will minimize and take you to the Host 1 menu screen.

4. Click the “Domino’s Pulse” Connect button.

5. A new session should open, and Pulse should now respond normally.

🧠 Tip: If this fix doesn’t work but Pulse is still working on other stations, the issue will automatically resolve during the End of Day (EOD) Wizard process at night.

🚧 If the Issue Persists

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, continue troubleshooting using related resources or escalate as outlined below.

1) Double-Check Key Points

  • Ensure the blue ribbon was accessed correctly and only the minimize button (underscore “_”) was clicked.
  • Confirm that Pulse continues running properly on other store stations.
  • If Pulse is frozen on all stations, the DM must escalate directly to IT.

2) Escalation Instructions

For Store Team Members:

  • If the issue remains after completing all steps, contact your District Manager (DM) for further guidance.
  • Tell your DM you completed all troubleshooting steps and describe the exact Pulse behavior observed.

For District Managers:

1. Review the information provided by the store and confirm all steps were completed.

2. If you cannot triage or the issue is critical/system-wide, follow the Emergency HELP Line Protocol (opens in a new tab) to contact the On-Call Tech.

✅ Summary

  • Identify if Pulse is frozen only on the Office PC or all stations.
  • Use the blue ribbon’s left minimize button (underscore “_”) to return to the Host 1 menu.
  • Reconnect to Pulse using the “Domino’s Pulse” Connect button.
  • If the session still freezes but other stations work fine, the EOD Wizard will fix it.
  • Escalate to IT only if Pulse is frozen across all stations.
